According to statistics, the bacteria on the heat exchanger of a non-maintained air conditioner can reach up to 160,000 per square centimeter. Dr. Yindeng Quan, Director of Respiratory Medicine at Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center and visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins Hospital, pointed out that "Dusty and bacterial accumulation in long-used uncleaned air conditioners operate when they blow out bacteria into indoor air, easily causing respiratory diseases."
Consumers who have been exposed to this environment for a long time are more likely to suffer from "air conditioning disease," so Dr. Quan calls on consumers to regularly clean their air conditioners.
